"These are a few of my favorite things"

When I was in 5th grade I was chosen by my teacher to sing with 3 other girls for a Christmas pageant. The song was "Favorite Things".
We practiced so much I began to dislike the song and seriously was not very fond of it up until about 3 Yrs ago when I heard Sissel, a Norwegian female vocalist, sing it and it was beautiful. Now I smile when I hear the song. Remembering the torture of practicing the song, performing it in front of so many people.....you have to understand, I was horribly shy when I was little and now I smile from the wonderfully, warm memories of my childhood and my 5th grade teacher, Miss Croston. What a sweet lady and wonderful teacher she was!

Happy Birthday to "My Man"
I have been with you for 39 years starting April 23rd. It's amazing to think of it "in years", but it seems like yesterday that I met you, held your hand for the first time at Nine Mile Creek, thinking to myself "there's something different about this guy, and I like what my heart is saying to me". This magical day happened a week after your birthday.
You are my sole mate, my best friend, my lover. You are there for me when I'm sad, when I don't feel good, when I'm cranky, when I'm giddy and giggly. You have helped me to grow, to learn and to become the person who I am today. You are THE MOST PATIENT man I have EVER known!! and I love you more than you realize. More than I show you. More than I can EVER even express to you. Happy Birthday Skip and thank you for blessing me with so much joy and love.

Easter Berner

This is just too funny and adorable not to share. The Easter Bunny has been replaced by the Easter Berner. Odin, you help us to keep smiling and bring lots of laughter into our home and help to lower the blood pressure just by petting you or you lying on our feet. You are an awesome dog full of personality. You love to tease, it's scarey how smart you are and I feel safe whenever you are near. It's amazing how in-tune you are to our moods and feelings. You are our daily therapy. We love you!

Ada has grown so much and developing quite a cute personality

I'm so busy checking our families' blogs that I forgot all about our blog. I'm sure others have forgotten about our blog too since nothing new ever gets posted! We've had a lot of new things going on and we have a lot to be thankful for.
Kaiser Ray was born....10 weeks early. Yeah Kaiser!! You made it in time before 2009 came to a close! You are adorable and we are thrilled to have you join our family. Paisley and Ada will have so much fun with you.
Spring is finally here, but it feels like winter! Come on sunshine and warm weather!!
My next post will hopefully be sooner than the last and maybe even some pictures. I'm soooo behind!
